Many exciting events occurred in the Northwood IMC this year. First of all, most of our teachers used our resources for their class projects, research papers, and book talks. They also signed up in the computer labs often to create the following: iMovies, Powerpoint presentations, Podcasts, comics, music, signs, posters, photo albums, etc. We thank the PTA for providing us with the money to purchase iPod Nanos , tri-pods, and a couple more digital cameras for creating Podcasts. We also would like to thank the Foundation for contributing money to have a visiting author for this year, Margaret Peterson Haddix . Our administration was also very supportive. They provided us with the freedom to bring in storytellers, create programs and make purchases to meet our patrons’ needs. We weeded and added to our entire collection (books, A/V and tech equipment). We look forward to thePromethean Board that is going to be installed in the IMC next year. This addition will provide availability to staff members who do not have access to one. We have also applied for grants to help us build an audio-book collection (Playaways) to update our antiquated “books-on-tape” library. We will reflect on our experiences this year, and consider our patrons’ criticisms and suggestions, so we can improve as a team and provide a more efficient and effective service.
